Fromm’s Ergonomic A335 Steel Strapping Combination Tool

Fromm is among several packaging tool companies that have made a mark with their one-of-a-kind tools for the strapping industry. It designs and develops tools with the latest technology and constantly improves on its existing tools in order to keep its customers satisfied.

Fromm’s tools are ergonomically designed and light in weight. The Fromm A335 is one such tool that is very reliable and user friendly. It has a simple operation and can be set for ½”, 5/8” or ¾” steel strapping widths and can also run regular duty or high tensile steel strapping.  This tool is a very popular combination tool in many industries. It has a great tensioning system that prevents even a minute loss of tension in order to accommodate heavy duty strapping applications where seal strength is of utmost importance.

The A335 can be adjusted to suit the exact strap measurements of varying thicknesses in order to create the strongest seal. When compared to the manual tools, Fromm’s A335 has very good joint efficiency.

The A335 is very popular because during transit, if the joint loses any tension, the seal does not get unlocked. Due to this, the shipment does not get damaged and the product is safe when it reaches the destination. The A335 is also made of high quality steel and has a ground feed wheel and a gripper to provide extra efficiency.

However, some industry experts claim that pneumatic tools are simpler and better options for tensioning, sealing and cutting down application time.  The A335 has a pneumatic counterpart from Signode that has all the strapping qualifications befitting a manual combination tool.

Many industry users however, do not recommend the A335 as its wear parts are very expensive. There are other combination strapping tools which cost far less than the A335 according to customers.
